Biochemistry is taught under the Faculty of Sciences at Federal University, Lokoja (FULOKOJA). The O’Level requirement names every credit, leaving nothing to the candidate at that stage.
The Direct Entry section carries a second option that the other routes do not, recognising an NCE, ND or HND in a related programme alongside the UTME requirements.
Confirm that Biochemistry appears on the current FULOKOJA course list and that your JAMB registration records it correctly before you sit the examination. A course entered in error cannot be assessed against these conditions.

You require two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Biology. Direct Entry Candidates can apply with an NCE/ND/HND in related programmes together with the UTME requirements.

All candidates interested in getting admitted into FULOKOJA for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
A Polytechnic Route Into FULOKOJA Biochemistry
The O’Level requirement is five SSCE credits in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology. Every paper is named, so a candidate missing one has no substitute to offer.
The UTME combination relaxes by one place. English Language is compulsory, Biology and Chemistry are fixed, and the third subject may be either Physics or Mathematics.
Direct Entry accepts two ‘A’ Level or NCE passes from Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology, using the same four subjects in a shorter form.
It also recognises an NCE, ND or HND in a related programme together with the UTME requirements. That is the only route open to polytechnic graduates on this page.
A JAMB score of 180 and above is the screening threshold for the 2026/2027 session at FULOKOJA and applies whichever route a candidate uses.
