The Federal University, Otuoke, is a federal government-owned University located in Otuoke, a town in the Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa State, Southern Nigeria.

The University was established in 2011 and started with 282 pioneer students. It offers degree courses at undergraduate levels. The University offers undergraduate programs in the Faculty of Science, Management Science, Social Science and Humanities, Education, Engineering and Technology.

FUOTUOKE Department of English and Linguistics Admission Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

Candidates must possess five (5)  O’ level credits, including English Language, Literature in English, and any other 3 subjects obtained at no more than two sittings.

JAMB Subject Combinations

Candidates who wish to study  English And Linguistics at FUOTUOKE will write the following four (4) subjects in Jamb.

Use of English, Lit.-in-English, one other Art subject, and another Arts or Social Science subject.


Generally, For any candidate to be considered for admission to the FUOTUOKE, the candidate must score 200 and above in JAMB.

FUOTUOKE English and Linguistics Departmental Cut-off Mark

To be offered admission to the FUOTUOKE Department of  English And Linguistics, the candidate must score 220 and above in the school post-Utme examination.
