Admission Requirements for Environmental Management and Toxicology
WAEC/NECO Subject Combination
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Environmental Management and Toxicology is Five (5) SSCE credits in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Environmental Management and Toxicology under the Faculty of Sciences at FUPRE include;
Chemistry, Biology, and another subject chosen from either Mathematics or Physics.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Environmental Management and Toxicology if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
Two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in Chemistry and any of these subjects; Botany, Zoology, and Biology.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUPRE for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
Botany and Zoology at FUPRE Environmental Management
Direct Entry is the only place where Botany and Zoology are recognised. Chemistry is required there, with the second A’level or NCE pass drawn from Botany, Zoology or Biology.
Neither Botany nor Zoology appears at O’level or UTME, where the lists stay with the standard school sciences.
All five O’level credits are named, covering Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, so nothing is optional at that stage.
At UTME the only choice is between Mathematics and Physics for the fourth paper, with Chemistry and Biology fixed. Candidates need a minimum of 180 and above in JAMB for the 2026/2027 session.
