WAEC/NECO Subject Combination
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Agricultural Engineering is Five (5) SSCE credits in English Language, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Agricultural Science.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Agricultural Engineering at FUTA include Agricultural Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Agricultural Engineering if you do not intend to use UTME.
You require two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in Agricultural Science, Physics, or Mathematics.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUTA for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
Agricultural Science Is Required Outright at FUTA Agricultural Engineering
Unlike most of the agricultural departments at this university, this one names Agricultural Science itself rather than offering it as an alternative to Biology.
It appears among the five O’level credits alongside English Language, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry, and again in both later lists.
Direct Entry asks for two A’level or NCE passes in Agricultural Science, Physics or Mathematics, so Chemistry drops out at that stage.
The UTME entry names Agricultural Science, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics without stating which three to register, so confirm the exact combination with the department.
Candidates entering through UTME need a minimum of 180 and above in their JAMB result for the 2026/2027 session.
