Admission Requirements for Agricultural Extension and Communication Technology
WAEC/NECO Subject Combination
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Agricultural Extension and Communication Technology is Five (5) SSCE credits in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science plus one in Physics or Geography.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Agricultural Extension and Communication Technology at FUTA include Chemistry, Biology /Agriculture, and Physics or Mathematics.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Agricultural Extension and Communication Technology if you do not intend to use UTME.
You require Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science/Botany/Zoology/ Economics/Mathematics/ Physics/Geography/Geology.
Two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in any 200 or 300-level course at the NCE/HND/OND program.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUTA for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
Geology and Economics Reach FUTA Agricultural Extension and Communication Technology
The Direct Entry list is the broadest part of this page, naming Biology, Agricultural Science, Botany, Zoology, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Geography and Geology behind the compulsory Chemistry.
Economics and Geology appear nowhere else, so they only help a candidate coming through that route.
The O’level requirement is narrower, fixing English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology or Agricultural Science, with a fifth credit from Physics or Geography.
At UTME the combination tightens again to Chemistry, Biology or Agriculture, and Physics or Mathematics beside the compulsory English Language.
The university has a competitive admissions process and does not consider a student’s age, cultural background or religion when deciding whether to admit them. A minimum of 180 and above in JAMB applies for the 2026/2027 session.
