JAMB Subject Combination

In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.

You require two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in Chemistry, Biology or Agric Science, and Zoology or Botany.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUTA for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.

Statistics Counts Toward FUTA Agricultural Resources Extension

Four O’level credits are fixed, namely English, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. The fifth comes from Physics, Economics, Further Mathematics or Statistics.

Statistics and Economics in that group widen the course beyond a pure science intake, and neither appears again later on the page.

At UTME the combination is Chemistry, Biology or Agriculture, and Physics or Mathematics, so Agriculture is accepted in place of Biology only at that stage.

Direct Entry names Chemistry, Biology or Agric Science, and Zoology or Botany, bringing two further specialist biology subjects into play.

Chemistry is required on every route. Candidates entering through UTME need a minimum of 180 and above in their JAMB result for the 2026/2027 session.
