The Federal University of Technology (FUTA) offers Animal Production and Health under its Faculty of Agriculture, and this page sets out the WAEC and NECO credits, the JAMB UTME combination, Direct Entry and the JAMB score required.

Chemistry is the one subject required in every route. It is a named O’Level credit, a compulsory UTME subject, and the fixed half of the two-subject Direct Entry condition.
Biology and Agricultural Science share a slot at both O’Level and UTME, and Physics and Mathematics share the remaining UTME place, so there is some room to play to your strengths.

Direct Entry is where this course opens up. Chemistry is required, and the second subject can be Biology, Botany, Zoology, Agricultural Science, Geography, Geology, Mathematics or Economics.
Several of those, including Geology and Economics, appear nowhere else on the page, so they help only candidates taking that route.

At O’level and UTME the position is much tighter, resting on Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, and Physics or Mathematics, with English Language throughout.
The university has a competitive admissions process and does not consider a student’s age, cultural background or religion when deciding whether to admit them. A minimum of 180 and above in JAMB applies for the 2026/2027 session.
