Radiography at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) is a science-led programme, and its entry conditions reflect that at every stage. Physics, Chemistry and Biology appear in the O’Level list, the UTME combination and the Direct Entry route alike.
The University of Lagos is a federal government research university in Lagos State, southwestern Nigeria. Its admission standards are set centrally in places, which is why the JAMB score on this page applies across departments rather than to Radiography alone.

Direct Entry Requirement For Radiography
Below is the DIRECT ENTRY (DE) Requirement for Radiography;
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes were chosen from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Why UNILAG Radiography Leaves So Little Room to Manoeuvre
Every route into this course runs through the same three sciences. Physics, Chemistry and Biology are named in the O’Level credit list, again in the UTME combination, and again as the pool Direct Entry passes must be drawn from.
At O’Level the requirement is five SSC credit passes, and all five are specified: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Nothing is left open, so there is no subject a candidate can substitute.
The UTME combination keeps English Language compulsory and fills the remaining three slots with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Direct Entry candidates need two ‘A’ level passes chosen from those same three subjects.
The JAMB threshold is stated as 200 and above, and it is applied to any department at the University of Lagos rather than being set by Radiography. Candidates below that figure are not considered regardless of their subject combination.
Read together, the requirements reward candidates who committed to the science track early. Anyone missing one of the three core sciences at credit level has no alternative path into this programme.
