We are pleased to announce to all candidates of the 2025 JAMB UTME and Direct Entry that the board has disclosed the official novel for the examinations.
In keeping with tradition, JAMB enriches the English Section each year with a new novel to assess the candidates’ comprehension skills.
This year’s examinations will continue in this vein.
Novels to Read for JAMB UTME
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has consistently incorporated questions from mandatory novels into the general paper section of their examinations.
It is imperative for all candidates to acknowledge that the study of the prescribed novel is an obligatory part of the examination process, regardless of their chosen field of study.
For the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), JAMB has designated “The Life Changer” by Khadija Abubakar Jali as the required reading material.
Please note that JAMB may retain a novel as part of its curriculum for two to three years before implementing a change. “The Life Changer” has been selected for the 2024/2025 academic session.
Candidates are required to procure the novel at the standard fee of Five Hundred Naira (₦500).
