The Accounting Program at Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, has recently obtained full academic approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC).

In a letter addressed to the University Visitor and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Maryam Sali, the Director of Accreditation at the Commission, outlined that the accreditation encompassed Public Administration and Transport Management.

This accreditation comes from the Commission’s extensive evaluation conducted at the University last year, aligning with its official mandate to authorize educational programs at national universities.

The correspondence also noted that the university has been granted a comprehensive five-year operational authorization.

Professor Abu Kasim Adamu, the Vice-Chancellor of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, expressed appreciation for the commendable efforts of the Niger State Government, led by the University Visitor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello.

The commendation specifically acknowledged the financial support provided by the University, emphasizing its forward-looking approach and hinting at plans for additional programs in subsequent support.

The Vice-Chancellor thanked the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, under the Honorable Commissioner, Professor Abubakar Baba Aliyu, for his continual encouragement and support throughout the accreditation process.

It is worth noting that the National Universities Commission accredited educational programs at the University in October/November 2021 to ensure their efficacy and compliance with established standards.
