O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Health Education; You require;
- Five (5) SSC credit passes/TC II merit passes, including English Language, Biology, or equivalent.
- Five (5) SSC credit passes /TC II merit passes to include English Language and Mathematics.
The first line names Biology beside English Language, the second names Mathematics. Biology is the subject carried forward into the JAMB combination, so it is the one that governs your UTME registration for this course.
The safest approach is to hold credits in English Language, Biology and Mathematics together. That satisfies both versions of the requirement and leaves two further credits to be made up from any subjects you have passed.
Jamb Subject Combination
In UTME, the English Language is compulsory for this course. The three (3) other JAMB UTME subjects needed to study Health Education under the Faculty of Education at OAU are listed below.
Biology and any two (2) relevant subjects.
Biology is the only subject fixed at UTME. The two remaining slots are described simply as relevant, which gives you latitude but no formal list to choose from.
Jamb Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into OAU for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 200 or above in your JAMB result.
Reading the Two O Level Lines for OAU Health Education
This page gives two versions of the O Level requirement, one naming Biology and one naming Mathematics. Biology is the subject that reappears at UTME, so treat it as the one the department is really asking for.
There is no Direct Entry section on this page, so UTME is the only route set out here. Hold your five credits, register Biology with two relevant subjects, and score 200 or above to reach OAU screening.
