This is to inform the general public that the management of the University Of Ibadan (UI) has published the admission requirements for the Department of Physiology For its admission aspirants.
The admission requirements consist of O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
A detail worth noticing early is that Mathematics is required at Ordinary Level but is not among the four JAMB papers. Candidates sometimes assume the two lists are identical and discover otherwise too late.
The department also sets its own mark. Physiology asks for 240 in the school screening exercise, while the university asks for 200 in JAMB, so two separate standards apply in sequence.
UI Department Of Physiology Admission Requirements
O’level Subject Combinations
Candidates who wish to study Physiology at the University Of Ibadan (UI) must possess Five O’ Level Credit Passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
All five are named and none is optional. A pass rather than a credit in any of them leaves the requirement unmet.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Mathematics is absent from this list. A candidate who registers it as a fourth paper in place of one of the three sciences would not match what the department expects.

Prepare for the screening exercise with 240 in mind. The university figure of 200 only establishes eligibility and will not secure a place in Physiology on its own.
