The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has published the entry requirements for its Department of Physiotherapy, covering the O’Level credits, the JAMB UTME combination, Direct Entry and the JAMB score needed for screening.

This is one of the plainest requirements UNIBEN publishes. No waiver section appears, no subject is offered as an alternative to another, and every list is given in full.
Five named O’Level credits, four named UTME subjects and two A Level passes drawn from three sciences make up the whole of it. There is nothing left to interpret.

Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Physiotherapy include the following:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Physics
- Chemistry
All five subjects are named, so no credit in this list is negotiable. Physiotherapy draws on both the physical and the life sciences, and the requirement reflects that by asking for all three.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
The four UTME subjects are the O’Level five with Mathematics set aside. That credit is still required, so it remains part of what you must hold even though you will not write it in JAMB.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Physiotherapy if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes chosen from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIBEN for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 200 or above in your JAMB result.
No Waivers and No Alternatives in the UNIBEN Physiotherapy Requirement
Many UNIBEN departments publish a waiver that widens or narrows their subject list. Physiotherapy publishes none, so what is printed here is the whole requirement.
That makes planning simple and unforgiving in equal measure. Five credits, four UTME subjects, and nothing that can be substituted if one of them falls short.
Direct Entry candidates choose two A Level passes from Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and every applicant needs 200 or above in JAMB before UNIBEN will screen them.
