Admission requirements for the Department of Radiography at the University of Calabar have been published. They cover the O’Level credits, the JAMB UTME papers, the Direct Entry route and the JAMB score.

Radiography allows no substitutions at O’Level. All five credits are named, and three of them, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, reappear in both the JAMB combination and the Direct Entry list.
Physics is especially central here, as the discipline is built on it, and it is required at every stage of the application.

About the University of Calabar
The University of Calabar is a federal university in Cross River State, in the south south region of Nigeria. It was established in 1975.
The university has a very large student and staff population and a diverse student body. All applicants to the university are accepted, regardless of their cultural or religious background. Additionally, there is no restriction on applicants’ ages.
The Three Sciences Behind UNICAL Radiography
The O’Level requirement is five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Nothing is optional.
The JAMB papers are English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Mathematics is the only compulsory credit that does not reappear at UTME.
That overlap works in your favour, since every UTME subject is already an O’Level requirement and there is nothing extra to prepare.
Direct Entry asks for two A level passes chosen from Physics, Chemistry and Biology, the same three sciences in a shorter form.
The UNICAL JAMB threshold is 150 and above for any department. Check all five credits on your result slip before registering, because a single gap closes this route.
