UNIMAID Department of Education & Science Admission Requirement 2024/2025

This is to notify the general public and all aspiring students of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) that the Department of Education & Science admission requirements has been published.

UNIMAID Orientation

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

Entry Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Education and Science are the following:

Five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics and two (2) other Science subjects.

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.

  • English Language
  • Three relevant Science or NBC subjects

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Education and Science if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

  • Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant Science subjects, which should include the candidate’s proposed course.
  • NCE credit/merit in addition to TC II merit or ‘O’ Level credit in relevant subjects.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIMAID for the 2024/2025 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a score of a minimum of 160 or above in your JAMB result.
