This is to notify the general public and all aspiring students of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) that the Department of Library Science admission requirements has been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Library Science include Five SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:
English Language, Mathematics, and three (3) other relevant Arts/Sciences/Social Sciences subjects.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language
- Any three subjects
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Library Science if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects plus the UTME requirements.
- NCE merit in relevant subjects.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
UNIMAID accepts NCE/ND/HND in related studies.
