UNIZIK Department Of Agric Economic Extension Admission Requirements 2026/2027

Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) admits candidates into Agric Economic Extension through a route that weighs your O’Level record and your JAMB performance together. This page sets out the subject combinations, the sittings rule, the JAMB score and the departmental cut-off mark the department applies for the 2026/2027 session.

UNIZIK

The O’Level side of the requirement leans on Chemistry and on Biology or Agricultural Science, taken alongside English Language and Mathematics. Candidates who fell short in one of those subjects should read the waiver note under the first section, because the department allows a narrow substitution rather than an outright pass.

Two separate figures matter once the result slip is in order: the general JAMB score the university works with, and the post-UTME mark set for this department. Both appear below, with the four JAMB subjects you are expected to register.

Unizik Department of Agric Economic Extension Admission Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

Candidates must possess five (5) O’ level credits, including English Language, Maths, Chemistry, and Biology/Agricultural Science, in not more than two sittings. A pass in Maths may be considered if the candidate has a credit in Physics or vice versa.

The 5 credits must be obtained in not more than 2 sittings. A credit pass in Agricultural Science must be backed up with a pass in Biology.

Read those two statements together before concluding that you are short. The list names Mathematics as a credit subject, while the waiver allows a pass in Maths to stand where Physics carries a credit, and allows the reverse.

JAMB Subject Combinations

Candidates who wish to study Agric Economic Extension at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) will write the following four (4) subjects in Jamb.

Use of English, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

Use of English is the compulsory paper, which leaves Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as the three subjects you select when filling the form. Confirm the selection on your JAMB slip before registration closes.

UNIZIK JAMB Score

Generally, For any candidate to be considered for admission in the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), the candidate must score 200 and above in JAMB.

That 200 is the entry point rather than a competitive score. It decides whether your application is looked at, and the department applies a second filter afterwards.

UNIZIK Agric Economic Extension Departmental Cut-off Mark

To be offered admission to the UNIZIK Department of Agric Economic Extension, the candidate must score 190 and above in the school post-Utme examination.

This 190 is scored in the university’s own screening exercise, so it is counted separately from the JAMB mark above. A candidate has to clear both figures.

Physics Can Rescue a Maths Pass at UNIZIK Agric Economic Extension

The clause worth remembering here is the Maths and Physics swap. Candidates who assume they are disqualified from Agric Economic Extension at UNIZIK often hold a pass rather than a credit in Mathematics, and that position is still workable where Physics carries a credit.

Beyond that, the file you need is straightforward: five credits across not more than two sittings, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science among them, 200 in JAMB, and 190 in the UNIZIK post-UTME screening.
