The University of Nigeria (UNN), Nsukka, has published the admission requirements for its Department of Architecture, covering the O’Level credits, the JAMB UTME papers and both cut-off marks.

Architecture has by far the longest O’Level list on the UNN pages. Four credits are named, and the fifth may come from nineteen different subjects.
Most of those are construction and craft subjects, which makes this department genuinely open to candidates from a technical college background.
About The University of Nigeria
The Federal Government of Nigeria runs and oversees the University of Nigeria, established in 1960 in Enugu State in the country’s southeast.
The university has a very competitive admissions process and does not consider a student’s age, cultural background, or religion when deciding whether to admit them. Thus, a diverse student body is made possible.

Nineteen Ways to Fill the Fifth Credit at UNN Architecture
English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are the four fixed O’Level credits. The fifth is chosen from a list that begins with Fine Art, Geography, Woodwork, Biology, Economics, Technical Drawing and Further Mathematics.
It then runs through the building trades, covering Introduction to Building Construction, bricklaying and blocklaying, concreting and finishing work, joinery and carpentry.
Decorative painting, lining and sign work, wall hanging, colour mixing and glazing, ceramics, graphic design, graphic printing and basic electricity close the list.
The JAMB combination is much tighter. English Language, Physics and Mathematics are fixed, with a fourth paper from Chemistry, Geography, Art, Biology or Economics.
Chemistry is therefore a compulsory O’Level credit but only an option at UTME, which is worth noting when you plan your papers.
Both score figures are 200, the university cut-off and the departmental mark alike. Confirm your Physics and Chemistry credits before you register.
