The University of Nigeria (UNN), Nsukka, has published the admission requirements for its Department of Surveying and Geoinformatics, covering the O’Level credits, the JAMB UTME papers and both cut-off marks.
Four O’Level credits are fixed here and the fifth is drawn from an exceptionally long list, most of it made up of building and craft subjects.
That breadth means a technical college candidate can satisfy the requirement from workshop subjects alone, provided the four named credits are in place.

The UNN Department of Surveying And Geoinformatics Departmental Cut Off Mark is 200, and candidates seeking admission to the UNN Department of Surveying And Geoinformatics must score 200 and above in the school UTME Screening exercise.
Trade Subjects and the Fifth Credit at UNN Surveying and Geoinformatics
English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are the four fixed credits. The fifth may be Fine Art, Geography or Woodwork, Biology, Economics, Technical Drawing or Further Mathematics.
It may equally come from the construction trades, including Introduction to Building Construction, bricklaying and blocklaying, concreting, finishing work, joinery and carpentry.
Decorative painting, lining, sign and design, wall hanging, colour mixing and glazing, ceramics, graphic design, graphic printing and basic electricity all count as well.
The JAMB combination is far narrower. Use of English, Physics and Mathematics are fixed, with one further paper from Chemistry, Geography, Art, Biology or Economics.
Chemistry sits in both lists but in different roles, compulsory at O’Level and optional at UTME. Plan your papers with that difference in mind.
Both score figures are 200. Secure your Physics and Mathematics credits first, since those two are required at every stage of this application.
