In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Education and Mathematics are Mathematics and any two of the following Science subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNN for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a minimum score of 200 or above in your JAMB result.
A Science Profile Is Expected for UNN Education and Mathematics
The O’Level condition leaves no arts credits in the set. English Language, Mathematics and three other science subjects make up the five, so a candidate from a mixed background will need to check each line carefully.
At UTME, register English Language and Mathematics, then two of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Three combinations are possible, and each carries the same weight, so choose on the strength of your SSCE results.
Direct Entry takes two A Level passes, or an NCE, in Mathematics and one science subject. UTME candidates must also reach the UNN screening threshold of 200 in JAMB, which is higher than most federal universities ask for.
