The University of Nigeria (UNN), Nsukka, has published the admission requirements for its Department of Statistics, covering the O’Level credits, the JAMB UTME papers and both cut-off marks.
Mathematics is the subject that carries this course, and it is the only one named in both the O’Level list and the JAMB combination. Everything else on either list is chosen.
The departmental mark of 180 sits below the 200 university cut-off, which means JAMB itself is the harder of the two score hurdles.

UNN Department Of Statistics Departmental Cut-Off Mark
The UNN Department of Statistics Departmental Cut Off Mark is 180. That is to say that, Candidates who seek admission to the University Of Nigeria (UNN), Nsukka Department of Statistics must score 180 and above in the school UTME Screening exercise.
Mathematics Is the Only Constant in UNN Statistics
The O’Level requirement names English Language and Mathematics, then asks for at least two subjects from Physics, Statistics, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Economics and Geography.
Economics and Geography on that list are worth noting, since they let a commercial or arts leaning candidate meet a science department requirement.
The JAMB combination names Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry, with a fourth paper from Economics, Biology or Geography.
Physics and Chemistry are therefore compulsory at UTME even though the O’Level list treats them as options. Plan for both rather than assuming the looser rule applies throughout.
On scores, UNN requires 200 and above in JAMB while this department requires 180 at screening. Clearing the university figure settles both.
