This is to inform the general public and all Adeyemi College of Education (ACEONDO) aspirants that the Department of Education/Physics admission requirements have been published.

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Physics and Mathematics travel together through this requirement. Both are named at Ordinary Level, both appear in the JAMB combination, and both are named in the direct entry condition.
The Ordinary Level list also makes room for technical candidates, since an NTC or NBC is accepted in place of the two further science credits.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Education and Physics include the following: Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Physics
- Mathematics and two (2) other Science subjects or NTC/NBC
English Language, Physics and Mathematics are fixed. The last two places take either science credits or a technical or business certificate.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- Physics
- Mathematics
- Chemistry plus one (1) other subjects
Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry are all named here, so candidates applying to this department need the full physical science set rather than a mixed profile.

The Advanced Level route names Physics and Mathematics specifically, while the NCE route is defined more loosely as credit or merit in relevant subjects.

About Adeyemi College of Education

The College was founded in 1964 and named after a Nigerian educator. It is affiliated with the prestigious OAU in Ile-Ife.
The college aspires to be the reference point for teacher education in Nigeria, educating students in international academic and moral standards.
The Physics and Mathematics Pair at ACEONDO
Candidates should treat Physics and Mathematics as a single condition, because every route into this department asks for both rather than one or the other.
The NTC and NBC option at Ordinary Level is worth noting, since it opens the course to technical college candidates who lack two further science credits.
The JAMB combination on this page names English Language, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry plus one more subject, which totals five papers where registration takes four. Confirm the correct four with the current JAMB brochure or with the department.
