This is to inform the general public and all Adeyemi College of Education (ACEONDO) aspirants that the Department of French/Hausa admission requirements have been published.

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
This department asks for two languages beyond English. French and Hausa are both required at Ordinary Level and again in the JAMB combination.
That makes it one of the narrower requirements at the college, since a candidate must have studied both a European and a Nigerian language to credit level.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study French/Hausa include the following: Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- French
- Hausa and any other Arts subjects
English Language, Mathematics, French and Hausa are the four named credits, with the fifth drawn from any other Arts subject.

Read in full that is English Language, French, Hausa and one further Arts subject, which gives four papers in total.

JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted to the Adeyemi College Of Education for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 120 or above in your JAMB result.
The score decides who is invited to the screening exercise rather than who is admitted. Candidates below it go no further.
About Adeyemi College of Education
ACEONDO, also known as Adeyemi College of Education, is a Federal College in Ondo State, Nigeria’s southwest. The College was founded in 1964 and named after a Nigerian educator. It is affiliated with the prestigious OAU in Ile-Ife.
The college aspires to be the reference point for teacher education in Nigeria, educating students in international academic and moral standards.
Two Languages Required at ACEONDO French and Hausa
Both French and Hausa must be held, and both appear twice in this requirement. A candidate strong in one but lacking the other does not qualify.
For applicants in the south west this is the harder of the language combinations, because Hausa is studied far less widely there than Yoruba.
English Language and Mathematics complete the named credits, one Arts place stays open on each list, and the JAMB score needs to reach 120 for the screening exercise.
