Business Administration is taught under the Faculty of Social & Management Sciences at Federal University Gashua. Economics is required on all three routes into the department.
Mathematics is named at the first two stages and then disappears at Direct Entry, where only Economics is specified. The conditions get shorter as the process goes on.

WAEC/NECO Subject Combination
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Business Administration is Five SSCE credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two other relevant subjects.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Business Administration under the Faculty of Social & Management Sciences at FUGASHUA include;
Mathematics, Economics and any other Social Science subject.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Business Administration if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
Two ‘A’ level passes, including Economics.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUGASHUA for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
Economics Runs Through Every FUGASHUA Business Administration Route
The O’Level requirement is five SSCE credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two other relevant subjects. Relevance is not defined for those two.
The UTME combination keeps English Language compulsory, names Mathematics and Economics, and leaves the final place to any other social science subject.
Direct Entry is the shortest condition on the page. Two ‘A’ level passes are required and only one of them, Economics, is named.
A candidate holding advanced levels in Economics and any second subject therefore satisfies that route as written, even without Mathematics at that level.
A JAMB score of 180 and above is the screening threshold for the 2026/2027 session at FUGASHUA and applies whichever route a candidate uses.
