O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Mechatronics Engineering; You require;
Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language, and any other Science subject.
Only the fifth credit is open, and it must still be a science subject. Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English Language fill the first four places with no substitution permitted.
Jamb Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Mechatronics Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology at FUOTUOKE include;
Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics.
The UTME combination is fully prescribed. English Language is compulsory and the three remaining papers are named outright, so there is no alternative arrangement for a candidate who prepared a different set.
Registering the wrong three papers cannot be corrected later in the admission process, which makes the JAMB registration itself the point of highest risk for this course.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Mechatronics Engineering if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
‘A’ level passes in any two (2) of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry
Direct Entry is the only stage offering real choice. Any two of the three subjects are accepted, so a candidate holding Mathematics and Chemistry is treated the same as one holding Physics and Mathematics.

All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUOTUOKE for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
