JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Computer Science under the Faculty of Sciences at FUPRE include;
Physics, Mathematics, and one other subject chosen from Biology or Chemistry.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Computer Science if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
Two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in Science subjects, including Mathematics.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUPRE for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
Mathematics Is the Constant at FUPRE Computer Science
Mathematics runs through all three routes. It is required among the five O’level credits, fixed at UTME beside Physics, and named explicitly as one of the two Direct Entry passes.
The Direct Entry wording is otherwise loose, asking only for science subjects, so the second pass is left to the candidate.
At UTME the third paper can be Biology or Chemistry. Chemistry is named outright at O’level, so choosing Biology at JAMB does not remove the need for that credit.
The fifth O’level credit can be any science subject. Candidates need a minimum of 180 and above in their JAMB result for the 2026/2027 session.
