It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in FUPRE to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

About Federal Unversity of Petroleum Resources Effurun

Federal Unversity of Petroleum Resources is located in Effurun, Delta State, Nigeria.

It was established in 2007 by the government of Nigeria to create Universities that specialise in producing graduates with practical and theoretical knowledge in Oil and Gas.

Admission Requirements for Geology

WAEC/NECO Subject Combination

The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Geology is Five (5) SSCE credits in Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, and any science subject.

JAMB Subject Combination

In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.

Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Geology under the Faculty of Sciences at FUPRE include;

Any three of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology, and Geography.

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Geology if you don’t intend to use UTME.

You require;

Two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in Geology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Geography.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUPRE for the 2024/2025 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
