The Sokoto State University (SSU) is located in Sokoto State, Nigeria.
It was established in 2009 as part of a motivated effort on the part of the Sokoto State to satisfy the quest of the people of the state for excellence and education.

Admission Requirements for Sociology
WAEC/NECO Subject Combination
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Sociology is Five (5) SSCE credits in Government or History, English Language, and three other subjects.
A pass in Mathematics is required.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Sociology at SSU include any three Social Science or Arts subjects.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Sociology if you do not intend to use UTME.
You require two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes, one of which should be Government or History.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into SSU for the 2024/2025 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
