Admission requirements for the Department of Project Management Technology at the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) have been published, covering the O’Level credits, the JAMB papers, two Direct Entry routes and the JAMB score.
The O’Level rule here distinguishes between credits and passes, which most FUTO pages do not. English Language, Mathematics and Physics are credits, while Chemistry needs only a pass.

O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Project Management Technology include Five SSCE credits in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics plus a pass in Chemistry and either Economics or Biology
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics and any one subject from below:
- Chemistry
- Economics
- Biology

Credits and Passes Apart at FUTO Project Management Technology
The O’Level requirement names English Language, Mathematics and Physics as credits, then asks for a pass in Chemistry and either Economics or Biology.
A candidate whose Chemistry grade falls short of a credit is therefore not excluded here, which is unusual among the technology departments.
The JAMB combination names English Language, Mathematics and Physics, with the fourth paper from Chemistry, Economics or Biology.
Direct Entry has two routes. Two A level passes in Physics, Mathematics, Economics or Geography, or an ND or HND at upper or lower credit in Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Technology or Engineering.
A JAMB score of 160 or above makes you eligible for screening in the 2026/2027 session. Confirm your Mathematics and Physics credits first, since both are required at credit level.
