Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Anatomy are as follows:
English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
All five credits are named and nothing is left to the candidate. Mathematics is the one to watch, because it is required here and then appears nowhere else on the page.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language
- Biology
- Physics
- Chemistry
The UTME form is settled before you open it. Biology, Physics and Chemistry join the compulsory English Language, which is the O Level list minus Mathematics.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Anatomy if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in addition to the UTME requirements.
That closing phrase changes everything about this route. The two A Level passes are not accepted instead of the UTME conditions but on top of them, so a Direct Entry candidate has to satisfy the O Level credits and the score as well.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIJOS for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a minimum score of 180 or above in your JAMB result.
Direct Entry Offers No Shortcut Here
On most courses Direct Entry is a way around the UTME route. Here it is not. The page states plainly that the two A Level passes come in addition to the UTME requirements, so nothing already listed is waived.
Those A Level passes are also drawn from Biology, Chemistry and Physics, the same three sciences already on the JAMB form, so the route asks for more without opening the subject list at all. Every applicant needs the five named credits and at least 180 for the 2026/2027 session.
