O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Agricultural Science and Education are Five SSCE credits or equivalent in English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics, and another relevant subject.

In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.

Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Agricultural Science and Education if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two passes at ‘A’ level in Biology /Zoology /Botany and any other Science subject.
- NCE at merit pass level in Biology and any other Science subject.
- NCE merit pass level in Agriculture (Double Major).
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNN for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a minimum score of 200 or above in your JAMB result.
Picking Three UTME Subjects for UNN Agricultural Science Education
Seven subjects are listed and you choose three: Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Physics, Economics, Geography and Mathematics. Chemistry and Biology or Agriculture are the natural pair, given that both appear in the O’Level condition.
Direct Entry offers three distinct routes. Two A Level passes in Biology, Zoology or Botany with another science subject, an NCE at merit in Biology with another science, or an NCE at merit in Agriculture as a double major.
UTME candidates also need a JAMB score of at least 200 to be eligible for screening at Nsukka, which is a higher bar than most federal universities set for this course.
