Pediatrics isn’t an undergraduate degree you apply for directly through JAMB. It’s a medical specialty you train in after qualifying as a doctor, so the subject combination you actually need at WAEC and JAMB level is the one for Medicine and Surgery (MBBS). Once you’ve completed your medical degree and housemanship, you can pursue postgraduate residency training in Pediatrics.
If pediatrics is your long-term goal, here’s the subject combination you need at the WAEC and JAMB level to get into a Medicine and Surgery programme.

After Your Medical Degree
Once you’ve earned your MBBS/MBChB and completed housemanship and NYSC, you’d apply for a residency programme in Pediatrics through a teaching hospital accredited by the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or the West African College of Physicians. That’s where the actual pediatric specialization training happens.
